The big decision that faces those booking a vacation in November is often whether to embrace the chill and opt for a destination that is wintry to its very core – indeed, a big occasion to celebrate all that’s fantastic about warm fires, snow-dusted trees and indulgent comfort food – or to escape the colder climate in search of some warming winter sun. Here we’ve selected five of our favorite locations for those wondering where to visit in November.

24 years after the late Princess Diana made the same visit, their Royal Highnesses Prince William and his wife Catherine have made their mark on India, traveling through the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Agra, with a scheduled excursion to the world famous Taj Mahal on April 16^th.

When Diana visited the sacred mausoleum in 1992 she described the experience as being “fascinating” and “very healing”, so it is little wonder that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have included this landmark in their tour of the beautiful country.

A partner and recipient of the Treadright Foundation grant, an initiative that encourages the sustainable development of tourism by supporting projects that benefit the environment, cultural heritages and local communities, The Center of Traditional Textiles of Cusco (CTTC) seeks to keep intact a treasury of weaving techniques and livelihoods that still survive in the Cusco region of Peru – but only just. Established in 1996, the Center has been appraising textile techniques, educating the youth and working with university programs, among many other enterprises, in 10 locations for two decades.
