For travel lovers, the ringing in of a New Year means new vacation plans. But have you taken time to choose your new year’s travel resolutions?

If you are keen to make 2022 the best year of travel yet, then you are in good company. A recent poll from Expedia has revealed that 2022 will be the year of GOAT – Greatest Of All trips! They surveyed 12,000 travelers across 12 countries, and two thirds said this was their intention.

Rajasthan’s capital of Jaipur certainly lives up to its nickname of The Pink City. Upon arrival, you can see the distinctive salmon hue all across the city’s skyline. But beyond appearance, it’s also a place that is steeped in heritage. Traditional folk song and dance, textile markets, handmade designer shopping, and local cuisine are all just part of Jaipur’s rich culture.

The past 20 months have certainly taught us that travel is a precious gift and privilege we can’t take for granted but I have also realized that my desire – even urge – to travel has never been stronger. I also firmly believe that COVID-19 is here to stay, it will eventually transition from a pandemic to being endemic, but it is absolutely possible to coexist with the virus (governments working together on a unified approach would certainly be helpful but the advent of Omicron has yet again shown that every country, or sometimes even region is determined to put their own random measures in place, so this remains wishful thinking on my part).
